In a symbolic protest on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s birthday, members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) visited the Ministry of Education carrying a birthday cake and urged him to resign, alleging that he had failed to address major issues in the country’s education system.

“A Cake With A Reminder To The Bday Boy, Please Resign!” The CJP wrote on a post on X
The party said the cake was not a birthday gift but a reminder of what it described as Pradhan’s “horrendous performance” as Education Minister.

CJP workers attempted to hand over the cake at the ministry while raising slogans against the minister. The party later shared images of the protest on social media, saying its team had visited the ministry with the cake to remind Pradhan of his record in office.

Addressing supporters, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the party would also send Pradhan a resignation letter as a birthday gift. “We will send a resignation letter as your birthday gift. Please resign,” Dipke said, accusing the minister of failing to protect the interests of students.

The protest is part of CJP’s ongoing campaign seeking Pradhan’s resignation over alleged irregularities in national examinations, including the NEET paper leak controversy, delays in recruitment, and other issues affecting students and job aspirants. The party alleged that the Union Education Ministry had failed to ensure transparency and accountability in the education system.

CJP leaders said they would continue their protests until the Union Education Minister steps down. They maintained that the demonstration was aimed at highlighting students’ concerns and demanding reforms in the education sector.
