A 12-year-old girl, the daughter of Ajit Dashavatare, personal assistant to NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar, was found dead near her residence in Baramati’s Rui village on Sunday. Police said the death occurred under suspicious circumstances and an investigation is underway.
Girl Reportedly Left Home After Argument
According to sources cited by PTI, the girl had a minor argument with her mother on Saturday before leaving the house in anger.
When she failed to return, her family approached the police and filed a missing-person complaint. Her body was subsequently found near the family residence in the Sainagar area of Rui village on Sunday morning.
Body Sent for Post-Mortem
After being alerted, a police team reached the spot and sent the body to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have not yet disclosed the cause of death, and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
A senior police official said, “The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles.”
Officials said the investigation will establish the circumstances that led to the girl's death. Police are currently examining the available evidence as the probe continues.
