Renowned Bengali filmmaker Anik Dutta passed away on Wednesday after reportedly falling from the rooftop of his residence in Kolkata’s Hindustan Park area.
According to reports, the incident took place at Dutta’s residence in South Kolkata, from where he allegedly fell from the rooftop under circumstances that are still unclear. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital near Dhakuria.
Family members have so far remained guarded about the details surrounding the incident.
When contacted by the media, Dutta’s wife Sandhi Dutta reportedly acknowledged that an incident had occurred but declined to comment further at this stage.
