Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the famous Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has said that he fears being arrested the moment he lands in Delhi amid growing attention around the satirical political movement.

Speaking to the media, Dipke said,"I feel that as soon as I land at Delhi airport, a convoy of Delhi Police will take me to Tihar Jail."

The Cockroach Janta Party was launched a few days ago after controversial remarks linked to Chief Justice Surya Kant triggered outrage online. The movement quickly became popular on social media, especially among Gen Z users, and gained millions of followers within days.

Dipke, a 30 year old Boston University graduate, said the party began as satire but soon turned into a platform for young people to express frustration over unemployment, inflation, education issues and political representation.

The controversy has intensified after the party’s X account was reportedly withheld in India. Dipke alleged that attempts were being made to hack the party’s Instagram account.

The Cockroach Janta party has also drawn reactions from opposition leaders and social media personalities, with several public figures including TMC’s Mahua Moitra and Kirti Azad, AAP’s Manish Sisodia and Samajhwadi Chief Akhilesh Yadav openly supporting the movement online.

Although the group describes itself as satirical, its rapid online rise has sparked wider political discussion about youth anger, internet culture and freedom of expression in India.
